I think that Microsoft is trying to lose the browser war. I have been a loyal IE user for a long time. I have dealt with the issues and even backed it when others told me it was a pile of junk.
I have been using IE7 since it was beta 1. Being a web developer I have to check all the new versions against the websites I manage. The initial beta was painful to use but I had hopes it would get better.
Now IE7 is released and most of the issues that were in the first beta are in the released version. For example, the thing is slower than molasses flowing downhill in the winter. It is like the program is taking messages and gets back to you when it wants. For example, you can set a new tab to open to a blank page. However, when you open the tab it is "Connecting". Connecting to what?!?! The page will be blank.
For comparison sake I installed the RC3 of Firefox a couple days ago. I was shocked at how fast it did everything. It also rendered web pages and flash objects much faster than IE ever had. Opening new tabs is instant, like it should be.
Not everything is what it seems tho. Firefox has its own share of issues. For example, I have ran into a bunch of JavaScript that does not work correctly in Firefox even tho it should.
After using Firefox for this short period I don't think I will go back to IE. However, being a web developer I know I will still have to use it.
There is a great article in InformationWeek about IE vs Firefox.

Welcome to my blog
Ok,
So I decided after not being on the blog bandwagon I should probably get on. This blog will focus on mostly ColdFusion, Flash Remoting, and web development related items. If you do not know what these are then you are in the wrong place.
Thanks for stopping by,
